They put on a fantastic fireworks show and the people of Cebu loved it. Everyone enjoyed the show, whether it was watching the fireworks display or taking part in the finale’s FREE community events. It is free to watch the fireworks and enjoy the free music performances and exhibits. And it is also free for everyone to have a drink during the finale.
The finale is held every year during the last weekend of July, but the city has announced that this year will be the last celebration. This year is the last celebration because Cebu’s bridge was destroyed, causing the city to cut down on how many fireworks can be set off and how many people can attend the fireworks. If the city cannot set off as many fireworks as it would like, the community can still enjoy the free finale fireworks at its own events, such as the free community party, free community street festival, the food and fireworks festival and more.
The free finale is set for July 31st through August 1st in downtown Cebu.
KaloAko Philippines, a team of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans who completed a 24-day mission in Cambodia to raise awareness of cancer in Southeast Asia, recently embarked on a second mission to spread cancer awareness in the United States.
The team, which is composed of more than 70 members from 16 countries, left for the United States after giving free cancer screenings at a Cebu shopping mall. This is the fifth time that the team has been to Cambodia. The team members gave out information about cancer, talked to teenagers about the dangers of unprotected sex and toured schools to give them awareness about HIV/AIDS.
The team members shared their stories with young people and their experience during their tour of Cambodia. With the goal of teaching them to be responsible, the team members also taught the Cambodian youths about health in the Philippines.
The team is currently in Arizona. During their three-day stay in the United States, they have been giving lectures on health and are organizing health screenings for local people. The team will finish their work by giving lectures at local churches and schools.
While the team is in the United States, the KaloAko Philippines Facebook page will be taking steps to help other Filipino and Filipino-American cancer patients who have been abandoned by their families.
